Higher State Events is an events brand based in Surrey and the data controller for this website. For privacy questions, email hello@higherstateevents.com.

Email updates

Our list covers Halloween, New Year’s Eve and Festival. The signup form names any RNS sister brands included in your choice. Select Just Higher State if you only want Higher State news.

We collect your email address and signup page. Our email platform records your signup time, IP address, browser information and consent wording. We use your consent to send event updates and keep these records to manage your choices and prevent misuse.

Confirm the Higher State email to join its list. Sister brands shown on the form may subscribe you straight away. Emails can record delivery, opens and link clicks.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email, or contact us. Joining the list is optional.

Website data

We use 5xx for website analytics and error reports. It processes pages visited, referring websites, campaign links, browser and device details, and technical errors. Your IP address helps estimate location and count visits with a daily-changing identifier. It does not set analytics cookies or use browser storage.

We use these operational records to understand visits, maintain the site and prevent abuse, relying on our legitimate interests. You can contact us to object.

Sharing and keeping your data

RNS Group’s platform manages the mailing lists, Resend delivers emails, Render hosts this website, and 5xx provides analytics and error reporting. We do not sell your data.

We keep subscription information while you are on a list. After you unsubscribe, we retain consent and opt-out records to respect your choice and handle related questions. Contact us to request deletion or ask about retention, processing locations and any overseas safeguards.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, request a portable copy where applicable, or withdraw consent. Email hello@higherstateevents.com. We normally respond within one month.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
